Product Info

Begin with a pickup from your hotel in Quito and travel along the Avenue of the Volcanoes. As you travel, listen to your guide share the legends of these imposing Andean giants.

Arrive at the national park and enjoy a delicious tasting of local food and then get ready for a 2-hour horseback ride. Dress in the traditional attire of a Chagra (Ecuadorian cowboy), including a poncho (wool cape) and zamarros (leather chaps), to ride while enjoying spectacular views of the volcanoes, wildlife, and unique landscapes. (This activity is shared with other travelers).

After your horseback adventure, take a walk around the Limpiopungo Lagoon, a natural mirror of the volcano or ascend to Jose Rivas refuge at 4860 FASL (15 500ft). Finally, our guide will suggest lunch spots before heading back to your hotel in Quito.

Horseback riding and tasting local food are included.
