The Ascension Journey climbs from 1,070 to 1,650 meters in a single tasting. This is a narrative walk through the four high-altitude terroirs that define modern Argentine Malbec, led by a certified sommelier inside a winery built in 1895 — the signature experience at Terrazas de los Andes.

The journey starts in Las Compuertas, Luján de Cuyo (1,070 m), and rises parcel by parcel: Paraje Altamira (1,100 m), Los Chacayes (1,200 m), and Gualtallary (1,650 m). Each altitude pours a different Malbec — Parcel Los Cerezos, Parcel Los Castaños, and Parcel Licán — closing with Extremo Malbec, our icon wine born at the highest point of the ascent.

Before the first pour, a guided introduction to Andean aromas tunes your palate. Throughout the tasting, a board of local cheeses and nuts accompanies each wine, revealing how altitude reshapes freshness, finesse, and structure in the glass.
