Product Info

Travel one of Mendoza’s most historic mountain roads on a private journey through Route 52 and Villavicencio Natural Reserve, far from the usual crowded circuits.

This experience is about the journey itself. Route 52 winds through the Andean foothills, crossing open landscapes, deep valleys, dramatic curves, and remote viewpoints as it climbs from the Mendoza plains toward the highlands of Paramillos.

The road passes through Villavicencio Natural Reserve, where guanacos are frequently seen roaming freely. With some luck, you may also spot condors, foxes, choiques, and other native wildlife along the way.

We love this route and know its landscapes, viewpoints, and history well. Rather than rushing from one scheduled stop to another, we travel at a relaxed pace, stopping where the day offers the best views, wildlife, photographs, and stories.

Along the way, discover the historic Villavicencio area, the famous curves of Caracoles, high viewpoints around Cruz de Paramillos, and the remote landscapes surrounding Paramillos. Access to specific sites in this area may vary depending on current conditions.

After crossing the pre-Andes, we reach Uspallata, where we stop at a simple local restaurant for a traditional Argentine lunch with asado, wine, and dessert.

The entire experience is private, so there are no large groups or crowded buses. It is a scenic mountain day for travelers who enjoy photography, wildlife, history, quiet roads, and discovering places beyond Mendoza’s most obvious attractions.
