Product Info

The Avión de los Uruguayos expedition invites you to live a unique experience in the Andes Mountains, combining adventure, history, and deep contact with nature. From Malargüe, you'll venture into imposing mountain landscapes, crossing remote valleys, rivers of thaw, and ancient trails used by Andean muleteers. You can do the crossing on horseback or by trekking, always accompanied by specialized guides and baqueanos.

During the expedition, you'll cross the Atuel River, trek through mountains, and set up camps in natural environments of absolute tranquility. On the second day, you'll experience the most significant moment of the trip: the ascent to the Valley of Tears, more than 3,700 meters above sea level, where the remains of the plane are located. There, you'll pay a silent tribute, learn the history in the very setting where it happened, and feel the immensity and respect that the place commands.

You'll spend the nights in mountain camps, sharing homemade meals, stories, and unique starry skies. It's a demanding but deeply exciting experience, ideal for those looking for adventure, reflection, and an authentic connection with one of the most impressive places in Andean history and nature.
