Learn the fundamentals of snorkeling during a 1.5-hour guided lesson in Fajardo designed for beginners and first-time snorkelers. No previous snorkeling experience is required, and the lesson is limited to a small group of up to 10 participants.

Begin on shore with an equipment fitting and safety briefing. Your guide will show you how to properly wear and adjust your mask, snorkel, fins, and flotation equipment. Practice breathing through the snorkel, moving with fins, floating comfortably, and communicating with your guide before entering the water.

Once you feel ready, enter the sea with your guide and practice your new skills at a relaxed pace. Your guide will remain nearby to provide assistance, help build your confidence, and show you how to observe the coastal marine environment responsibly. Marine-life sightings vary according to natural conditions.

The experience includes a mask, snorkel, fins, flotation equipment, a marine-life identification card, bottled water, and a light snack with chips and cookies.

This lesson is ideal for adults, children, families, nervous beginners, and anyone who wants guided practice before snorkeling independently. Weather and ocean conditions may affect the location or operation of the activity.

  • Know Before You Go: This 1.5-hour guided lesson is designed for beginners and first-time snorkelers; no previous snorkeling experience is required. The group is limited to 10 participants. Paid parking is available at Seven Seas Beach Park, followed by an approximately 8-minute walk to Pirate Snorkeling Shack. Allow enough time to park and arrive 15 minutes before the activity for check-in, equipment fitting, and the safety briefing. Bring a valid photo ID, swimwear, a towel, and sun protection. Snorkeling gear, flotation equipment, bottled water, chips, and cookies are included. Tell your guide before entering the water if you are not a confident swimmer or have a relevant medical condition. Lockers and dry bags are not available. Marine-life sightings are not guaranteed. The activity may be modified, rescheduled, or canceled due to weather or ocean conditions.
