Son Tra Mountain: Spot Wildlife & Douc Monkey with Sighseeings by Private

We are a team of local forest rangers born and raised on Son Tra Mountain, so we know the mountain like the back of our hands. Unlike many monkey-watching tours, you don’t need to wake up early—we offer flexible departure times. Your forest ranger will pick you up from your hotel and drive you up Son Tra Mountain to around 700 meters above sea level. We then take a short 1 km trek into the forest, where you may spot the rare Red-Shanked Douc Langur in its natural habitat. Using binoculars, you can observe them resting, feeding, climbing, and interacting with their family groups from a respectful distance. Along the way, learn about Son Tra’s unique ecosystem, wildlife, flowers, ancient trees, and conservation efforts. Next, visit the historic American Landing Zone and enjoy spectacular views of Da Nang. Continue to Ban Co Peak for panoramic views of the mountain and coastline. Finally, visit Vong Canh Hill to admire the ocean, Hai Van Pass, and the former American Radar Station.
