We time our departure so you reach Yosemite with the early birds, when Tunnel View and Yosemite Valley are at their quietest and most photogenic. As you travel, your expert guide shares fascinating stories about the region, setting the stage for an unforgettable day.

Once inside Yosemite Park, you'll have approximately five hours to explore the park's most breathtaking sights, with multiple stops at the best viewpoints for stunning photos. Capture the legendary beauty of Yosemite Falls, Half Dome, and El Capitan, marveling at the sheer size of these world-famous landmarks.

Enjoy two memory-making hours exploring Yosemite Valley at your own pace—walk along the Swinging Bridge, take in the views along the Merced River, get close to Yosemite Falls on a short hike, and relax with lunch.

At Tuolumne Grove, take a scenic 1.6-mile walk among giant sequoias up to 2,000 years old — trees that were ancient before the Roman Empire fell, in a grove far quieter than the famous Mariposa. The scale doesn't fully register until you're standing beside one. It's the perfect way to wrap up your time in Yosemite before the comfortable return drive to San Francisco. (Note: the grove trail may close November–March due to snow and ice; when it does, we substitute extra time in Yosemite Valley.)
