This tour is a one-day private car hiking trip from Osaka to the Kumano Kodo in Wakayama. The entire trip is private and does not involve sharing a ride. It is accompanied by a local professional driver-guide who speaks Chinese. You can easily explore the Kumano Kodo, a World Heritage Site, without having to transfer to public transportation.
The Kumano Kodo, a thousand-year-old religious pilgrimage route, is lined with lush native forests and winding streams, and offers access to classic attractions such as Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine, ancient cedar trees, and the ancient stone steps. The itinerary offers great flexibility; hikers can adjust the distance according to their physical condition. Those with less stamina can choose gentler, shorter trails, while those who enjoy hiking can extend their walk, stopping to take photos, rest, and savor local Wakayama seafood.
All luggage can be stored in the vehicle during the hike; you only need to bring a small bag and water, so you don't need to carry heavy items uphill. Our driver/guide is well-connected to the area, familiar with weather changes, trail difficulty, hidden photo spots, and can assist with reservations at popular restaurants and recommend less-visited, secluded sections of the trail.

Comfortable sedans are available for two people; small groups of friends and family can choose the 7-seater Toyota Alphard or the 10/14-seater Hiace. The first infant or child seat is provided free of charge. For each additional seat, an extra 2,000 yen will be charged, payable in cash to the driver on the same day. Please indicate the required quantity when placing your order.
Overtime fee
The daily usage time is limited to 10 hours. If this time is exceeded, an additional overtime fee will be charged, which can be paid to the driver in cash on the same day.
Cleaning costs
If a passenger causes serious damage to the vehicle during their ride (such as vomiting, odor, or other situations that are difficult to clean), a cleaning fee will be charged at the discretion of the vehicle based on the actual situation.

If the chartered time on the day of travel exceeds the time originally confirmed during the consultation (including traffic conditions such as traffic jams), an additional overtime fee must be paid to the driver on-site.
On the day of your trip, to ensure a smoother journey, the driver will suggest a return time based on current traffic conditions and may adjust the order of attractions. Please be aware of this.
If you need to make any changes to your itinerary, please submit your request at least 24 hours before departure, otherwise it may be difficult to process.
