Your private driver collects you from your AlUla hotel and takes you to the Winter Park Visitor Center, where the tour begins. From there, you board an air-conditioned coach into Hegra together with the day's other guests.

Meet your guide and step into a city carved from sandstone more than 2,000 years ago. Walk through Jabal AlAhmar, a necropolis of 18 tombs cut into reddish-brown rock, and stand beneath the Tomb of Lihyan son of Kuza — at 22 metres, the largest tomb at the site. Continue to the Jabal AlBanat necropolis and Jabal Ithlib, a chamber carved into waved rock, then stop at the handcraft pavilion before returning to Winter Park.

Your private driver is waiting to take you on to AlUla Old Town. Wander a labyrinth of mud-brick houses that once sheltered pilgrims travelling from Damascus to Makkah, overlooked by a 45-metre fort that has stood since the 10th century.
