Take in the breathtaking views of the city as you descend 112m down the side of the cliff, with the Atlantic Seaboard and the Twelve Apostles at your side. Your pulse will be racing as you step off the mountain, standing at a towering 1067 meters above sea level.

All necessary equipment and a safety briefing are included in the experience. After the abseil, you can take a leisurely 30-minute hike back to the top, enjoying stunning views along the way. Whether you’re seeking to overcome a fear of heights or simply want to see the city in a unique and exciting way, there is no experience needed to take part. The abseil guarantees an unforgettable adventure that you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

  • Meeting point description: Top of Table Mountain right next to the big wheel with Cables. You will see it as soon as you walk out of the Top Station.(Table Mountain, Table Mountain (Nature Reserve), Cape Town, South Africa)

  • Not allowed:Children (age 0-9)

  • Participants weighing more than 120 kg

  • Extra fees to be paid on-site:Cable car ticket is not included in the price. You can purchase the ticket on-site or prepurchase it online for R430.00 per person

  • Know in advance:Ensure to arrive early enough at the top of the mountain as there can be queues at the cable car station

  • Guests are welcome to view your abseil experience from the top

  • Average fitness level is required

  • It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes, shoes and a warm jacket

  • Activity does not take place if it is raining on top of the mountain, over the abseil site
