Located in the heart of Vienna's MuseumsQuartier, mumok stands as one of Europe's premier museums dedicated to art from the modern era onwards. This impressive institution not only collects and explores these works but also exhibits them for a broad audience of art enthusiasts.

The museum is housed within an architecturally striking building, constructed from blocks of dark grey basalt that contrast beautifully with its surroundings. The collection at mumok is exceptional, featuring significant pieces from movements such as Pop Art, Fluxus, Conceptual Art, and Vienna Actionism. It also extends to contemporary art, incorporating film and media references. This diverse range ensures that there is something to captivate every visitor, regardless of their artistic preferences.

In addition to its permanent collection, mumok offers changing exhibitions and a comprehensive educational program. These provide engaging encounters for both children and adults, ensuring that each visit to the museum offers a fresh perspective on the world of modern and contemporary art.
