Here is the main production site for Fukuoka's famous souvenir sweets"Hiyoko". Watch the cute "Hiyoko" march down the production line and savor an exclusive taste of a freshly baked, warm Hiyoko cake right off the oven—a treat you can only experience here.
Please note that the Hiyoko Sweets Factory Visit is subject to facility availability on the day of your tour.
If the Hiyoko Factory is unavailable (due to regular maintenance, holidays, or capacity constraints), the itinerary will be adjusted to visit the Yamaya Factory Terrace and Michi-no-Eki Koishiwara instead, where you will experience a fascinating Mentaiko (Spicy Cod Roe) Factory Visit and enjoy shopping for pottery.
【Yamaya Factory Terrace】
Step behind the scenes to see how Fukuoka's famous mentaiko is sorted, marinated, and packed through interactive exhibits and viewing windows. Shop for freshly made mentaiko, exclusive factory-only snacks, and unique regional seasonings.
【Michi-no-Eki Koishiwara】
This road station allows visitors to fully enjoy the rich pottery culture of Koishiwara and Takatori wares, both traditional Japanese crafts. Inside, there is a direct sales store featuring works from about 50 local pottery kilns, where you can carefully select and purchase unique, handcrafted ceramics. Freshly harvested local agricultural produce is also available for sale.
【Michi-no-Eki Oto Sakura Kaido】
Explore one of Japan’s most unique roadside stations, famous for its grand illumination, diverse local street food, and the legendary "100-million-yen luxury restroom" featuring a transparent grand piano.
It has its own hot spring facility called "Sakura-kan," where visitors can relax in outdoor baths, saunas, and family pools after a long drive.
The outdoor area includes a large park for children and beautiful seasonal flowers like cherry blossoms and sunflowers.
【Shunkoen Fruit Farm】
Ukiha City in Fukuoka Prefecture is blessed with clean water and a warm climate, earning it the nickname "Fruit Kingdom." Thanks to these perfect conditions, visitors can enjoy fruit picking here almost all year round. You can pick and enjoy fresh fruits straight from the vines.

【Nyoirinji (The Frog Temple)】
Nyoirinji is affectionately known by locals and tourists as Kaeru-dera (Frog Temple). The word for frog in Japanese is kaeru, which sounds exactly like the word meaning "to return safely," making the frog a symbol of good luck and safe travel.
The temple grounds are packed with over 10,000 frog figurines and statues of all shapes and sizes. You will find them hidden in bushes, lining the pathways, and even dressed up in cute outfits.
The Wind Chime Festival is held until late August!
