Izu Cactus Zoo is a popular zoo and botanical garden located in Izu, Shizuoka. It houses about 1,500 species of cacti and succulents, as well as about 140 species of animals, including Kapibra. It is not only suitable for families, but also for couples and friends to plan a relaxing trip.
When visiting the park, we highly recommend going to the "Kapibala Rainbow Plaza" to observe the adorable Kapibala up close and enjoy a therapeutic experience with the animals. If you visit in winter, you may also have the chance to see the seasonal "Original Kapibala Open-Air Bath," which is one of the most representative winter landscapes in Izu (the event period and details are subject to the park's announcements).
The "Cactus Greenhouse" is divided into 5 greenhouses showcasing rare cacti and succulents from around the world. Plant lovers will find themselves unable to stop browsing. You can also visit the "Cactus Picking Workshop" to select your favorite plants and pots and create your own small potted plant souvenir (experience details and fees are subject to availability).
