NHK's "Sunday Art Museum" is a long-running program that has aired more than 2,500 episodes since its debut in 1976. To mark its 50th anniversary in 2026, an exhibition will be held to trace the program's history and convey the appeal of the "beauty" that has appeared on it. The exhibition will feature over 120 masterpieces and items that have graced the program, divided into five chapters. Additionally, the program will screen carefully selected quotes from past broadcasts that resonate across generations and that the program's cast members have woven, along with high-definition video footage, to introduce the history of "Sunday Art Museum," which has connected people with "beauty."
