- This snowshoe tour explores the hidden spots of Lake Shikotsu, Japan's northernmost non-freezing lake near Sapporo. Free transportation is available from Sapporo Station. Walk along the waterfront of Lake Shikotsu, a walkway only available in winter, and into the winter forest. Head for the moss corridor. Experience the mystical space of the winter forest and the green corridor, with its towering walls covered in moss. This tour is recommended for those looking for a unique snowshoeing experience or those making their snowshoeing debut. A professional guide will provide lectures on key points of the winter forest. This guided tour is available in English.
- Specialized equipment is available for free rental!
- Specialized equipment such as snowshoes and poles can be rented free of charge. In addition to the above, goggles, winter gloves, waterproof and cold-resistant outerwear, and waterproof and cold-resistant snow boots can also be rented for a fee. Please let us know if you wish to rent these items when you apply. If you wish to rent for a fee, please let us know when you apply. The following rental fees are per item. Preparation. 11:00 AM - 2:30 PM - Activity Time Walk along the shore of Lake Shikotsu on snowshoes (approximately 60 minutes). Visit a secluded spot. Breaks and lectures will be held at various points (60 minutes). Lunchtime at a scenic spot. Return to the parking lot (60 minutes). 4:00 PM - Disband in front of Sapporo Station.
