- Learn how to use, draw, and swing a sword in a real martial arts dojo, and finally participate in a real swordfight. An assistant instructor will provide English interpretation. You can enjoy a "demonstration and straw-cutting" session using real Japanese swords using Yushin-ryu sword techniques. A black belt holder from the Koryu Iaido Dojo will provide safe and thorough instruction, so you can participate with peace of mind. The "Samurai Course" is a casual experience wearing an Iaido belt over everyday clothes. (Please wear comfortable clothing.) <Experience on the day of the plan> ・Greetings (brief self-introduction), instruction on important points to note, etc. ・Changing into a kagami (martial arts) uniform ・Samurai altar greeting ・Bending and stretching exercises ・Instruction on swinging a replica or wooden sword ・Watch a kata demonstration by the head of the school ・Watch a straw-cutting session by a high-ranking swordsman ・Mock battle with a high-ranking swordsman ・Experience maintaining a real sword ・Visit a swordsmith and experience sword appreciation and cutting The entire experience lasts approximately 40 minutes.

Approximately a 15-minute walk from JR/Keihan Kyobashi Station.
Kyobashi Station is approximately 40 minutes from Kyoto by Keihan Railway, and approximately 30-40 minutes from Kobe or Nara by JR.
You can also get there from Noe-Uchidai Station on the Osaka Municipal Subway Tanimachi Line.
