- AGES BASE is located within the Okinawa Crafts Forest, approximately a 15-minute drive from Naha Airport. Turn Okinawan wood into an original pen and keychain! Experience the joy of craftsmanship! Individual groups can choose different experiences! ⚫︎Pen Making and Polishing Experience (approximately 60 minutes) Use a woodworking lathe to polish the shaft of a wooden pen with sandpaper. Each polishing makes the wood smoother, allowing you to enjoy the changing beauty of the wood grain as you create your own original pen. ⚫︎Pen Making and Shaving Experience (approximately 120-180 minutes) Use a woodworking lathe to carve the shaft of a wooden pen with a cutting tool into your desired shape. Utilize the beauty of the wood grain and enjoy creating your own unique pen. ⚫︎Keychain Polishing Experience (approximately 40 minutes) Use a woodworking lathe to polish the shaft of a wooden keychain with sandpaper. With each polishing, the wood surface becomes smoother, and you can enjoy the changing beauty of the wood grain as you create your own original keychain. ⚫︎Pen & Keychain (Approx. 120-180 minutes) Create two items: a wooden pen and a keychain, all made from the same wood. The wooden pen shaft is carved into the desired shape using a cutting tool, and then polished to a finish. The keychain is polished to a finish.

- ・Children aged 10 and over can participate. ・Children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. ・To prevent injury, please wear sneakers or other footwear that covers your bare feet, rather than sandals. ・Wood chips may get on your clothes during the production process. Aprons are available for rental, but if you are concerned about this, please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
