Located within Kamon Wharf, [Shunsai Aburi Dining Karato Ya] offers a taste of Shimonoseki with dishes such as 'fugu sashimi' made exclusively with torafugu, fresh sashimi sourced from Karato Market, and kawara soba. We also feature an extensive drink menu, including local sake. We offer a wide range of courses, including plans specializing in fugu cuisine. The interior is a relaxing space where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the magnificent Kanmon Straits. It is highly recommended for meals during your travels or for evening banquets. Private rooms are available, making it suitable for business entertainment as well.
Enjoy the delicious flavor and tender texture of seasonal fish that can only be found in Shimonoseki. We also offer a variety of cuts of whale, which is a rare sight these days. You can also enjoy dishes such as whale tartare, which is hard to find at regular izakayas. For lunch, we also recommend Yamaguchi's specialty, Kawara Soba. Brown soba noodles are served on a hot tile, topped with ingredients such as shredded egg and beef. You can enjoy authentic Kawara Soba on an authentic large tile.

Our recommended plan is the "Plenty of Fugu Course (10,000 yen) featuring fugu sashimi and fugu chirinabe (hot pot) from the Kanmon Straits." You can enjoy a luxurious seven-course meal featuring everything from tiger fugu sashimi to fugu chirinabe (hot pot).
Our restaurant is located within Kamon Wharf, about a 20-minute walk from Shimonoseki Station. Its convenient location makes it easy to drop in, with easy access to nearby tourist attractions. The restaurant offers a luxurious and relaxing space with a magnificent view of the Kanmon Straits. It's perfect for sightseeing, family meals, dates, banquets, and more.
