From Darlington, we walked back along the Fossil Cliffs trail. Then we returned along the Painted Cliffs trail.
The path to the Painted Cliffs is gentle and mostly flat, leading us to Hopground Beach, which ends at the Painted Cliffs. We had ample time to explore the cliffs, photograph the unique landscape, and discover the area's many rock pools and beautiful nature.
The Fossil Cliffs Trail leads us to steep cliffs that plunge directly into the sea. The views from the top are spectacular. Even non-geology enthusiasts will be captivated by the sheer abundance of shell fossils exposed on the cliff face.
