Once you arrive at Maria Island, you can start exploring the west side of the island at Darlington Probation Station, a World Heritage Australian Crime Site. The Painted Cliffs are one of the most unforgettable views of Maria Island. The combination of wind and waves has eroded the sandstone to form magical patterns, patterns and scratches. There are many small animals on the island.

Suggested Itinerary [Group requires 4 people to proceed; it is recommended to check group availability in advance]
Meet around 8:00 AM. Choose one of the following: BEST WESTERN HOTEL, BLUE HILLS MOTEL, or CROWE PLAZA HOTEL. Arrive before 9:00 AM or depart after 8:00 PM. Airport transfer is available. The journey takes approximately one hour to the ferry terminal in Triabunna town. Take the 10:00 AM ferry to Maria Island (driver/guide will not accompany you onto the island).
After arriving on Maria Island, you'll have free time to explore Darlington and the Painted Rocks, and look for adorable wombats. Maria Island has no water, electricity, or restaurants; please bring your own food and drinks. [Please take your trash with you as the island prioritizes cleanliness.] After disembarking, there are two paths from the visitor center: left and right. The round trip on this path is approximately 4.5km and takes 1.5-2.5 hours. Bicycles are also available for rent on the island (at your own expense, $35/bike/day), but the roads are hilly and not ideal for cycling. This tour requires a certain level of physical fitness. Take the 16:15 ferry back to Triabunna.
17:00-18:00 Return to Hobart city center and the tour ends. Optional extra: overnight accommodation in Hobart city center.
