Cape Kamui: The only cape in Hokkaido designated as a marine park, it is mild and humid all year round, with no severe cold in winter and no scorching heat in summer, making it suitable for tourism in all seasons. Cape Kamui was once forbidden to women because of its steepness. From the end of Cape Kamui, you can see the panoramic view of the sea known as the "Shakotan Blue". Walking to the right of the sidewalk, you will reach a high platform, with dry rocks standing on the right and the undulating Cape Kamui on the left.
【Shimabui Coast】: The name of Shimabui Coast comes from the Ainu Suma Mui (Rock Bay). It is located about 1 km east of the top of Cape Shakotan, and the beach is surrounded by cliffs. You can reach the observation deck through a tunnel. It is famous for its high transparency of the sea and has been selected as one of the top 100 seas in Japan.
Yoichi Distillery: This renowned Japanese whisky distillery was founded by Masataka Taketsuru, the "Father of Japanese Whisky." Located in Hokkaido, the distillery's latitude and climate closely resemble those of Scotland. A beloved sanctuary for fans of Nikka Whisky, the distillery's authentic Scottish-style Japanese whisky earns it the nickname "Japan's Scotland." It's a must-see destination.
【Otaru Canal】: Otaru has a long history and rich cultural heritage. The Otaru Canal was dug for transportation in the late 19th century and has now become a unique tourist attraction. In spring and summer, the canal is lined with cherry blossoms and green trees; in autumn, you can enjoy beautiful red leaves and golden rice fields; in winter, the snow scene in Otaru makes people feel pure and peaceful.
