The restored Kumamoto Castle Tower has been fully open since April 26, 2021!

The exhibition in the park focuses on the history of Kumamoto Castle's "Tenshu". Through models and images, you can take a deep look at the process from the founding of Kumamoto Castle to its burning during the Southwest War, its reconstruction in 1960, and the damage and restoration process caused by the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake. We invite you to enjoy the new exhibition and the beautiful view from the rooftop.

In order to let everyone know more about the exhibitions in Kumamoto Castle Tower, the official has also launched the " Kumamoto Castle Official App " (free download), which allows you to appreciate the charm of the permanent exhibitions in the castle tower through videos and explanations with audio and subtitles. In addition, by turning on the AR function on the top floor of the castle tower, you can also enjoy and compare the different scenery of the Meiji era and the modern era. It is recommended to download it in advance before visiting the castle tower.

• This ticket is for admission to Kumamoto Castle. Visitors who have ordered their tickets online in advance can bypass the queue and enter the park by showing their voucher (QR code) to the staff at the entrance.
• Free Wi-Fi Instructions for using Kumamo and free Wi-Fi in the park.
  1. Open the Wi-Fi settings on your smartphone, tablet or other mobile device and select the network (SSID) kumamoto-free-wifi.
  2. Launch your browser.
  3. Register your user on the registration screen and you can connect to the Internet.
  ・User registration is required when using the app for the first time.
  ・Registration of each mobile device is only required when connecting to the Internet for the first time.
  ・When you connect to the Internet for the second time, select the Wi-Fi network (SSID) kumamoto-free-wifi and you can use it without registration.
  * Available areas: Sakura-no-Babajo Saien, the Comprehensive Tourist Information Center, the restroom on the south side of the Ninomaru parking lot, the Ninomaru ticket office, Uto Gyur, the castle tower square, the castle tower, and the area around the special viewing passage.

• If you feel unwell during your visit, you can go to the following four emergency rooms for rest.
  ・Inside the rest area in front of the castle tower.
  ・The South Exit Ticket Office also serves as a "Breastfeeding Room".
  ・The restroom in Sukiyamaru also serves as a "nursing room".
  ・The Ninomaru "resting area" also serves as a "nursing room".
• The three "Prakita Elevators" in the castle tower are only accessible to visitors who meet the following conditions.
  ・Visitors using wheelchairs or strollers (including caregivers)
  ・Visitors with limited mobility who cannot climb stairs and wish to use the "Hokkai Elevator" are kindly requested to inform the staff at the castle tower entrance during the visit.
