Impormasyon ng produkto

- Attraction Introduction -

Beyond its enchanting natural scenery, the Jinguashi area is a place filled with moving stories and living memories. The century-long history of gold mining is scattered throughout the Jinguashi settlement and surrounding mining areas, leaving behind numerous old buildings, tunnels, and mining equipment that bear witness to the economic activities and history of East Asian mining in the first half of the 20th century. Meanwhile, artifacts from the Taiwan Metal Mining Corporation during the Kuomintang era record the details of gold mining after World War II. The Gold Museum centers on the mining history and gold of Jinguashi, integrating the settlement's appearance, mining history, local culture, and ecological landscape into a comprehensive plan. This has unfolded a new look for the area, bringing new vitality and combining community efforts to preserve the precious natural, mining heritage, landscape features, historical memories, and cultural assets of Jinguashi, while imbuing them with new life.

  • Gold Museum
Formerly a mining office, the museum features intimate exhibits such as miner tools, daily utensils, and cups, plates, envelopes, and documents from the Japanese colonial period and the Taiwan Metal Mining Corporation era, offering a glimpse into past mining life. Additionally, the 220kg 999 pure gold brick is sure to be an unforgettable sight.

  • Four-Connected House
Presumed to have been built by the Nippon Mining Co., Ltd. in the 1930s as staff dormitories, each unit features its own entrance, living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and toilet, along with small front and back gardens. The red brick and black tile architecture forms a unique landscape feature of the Jinguashi mountain town.

  • Gold Refining Building
Once providing leisure and entertainment for miners, it was known as the 'Club' by residents. From the outdoor viewing platform, you can overlook Keelung Mountain, Teapot Mountain, and Benshan, taking in the entire view of the Jinguashi settlement.
