As a general rule, we do not use farmed fish. Please forgive us if we are unable to land any fish due to weather or holiday issues. Nowadays, people are accustomed to eating farmed fish, but we want people to experience the true taste of seasonal fish, so we stick to using wild, fresh fish rather than well-known farmed fish. Even if it is not well-known, seasonal fish can be delicious depending on how you eat it, and they taste best when eaten simply as sashimi, grilled, boiled or fried. Marutomi's mission is to pass on Japan's culture of eating fish.
We have sake that goes perfectly with fresh seasonal fish. Please enjoy delicious sake that goes well with fish. We also have our recommended Junmai Ginjo Edo Kaijo sake.
