 － Tour Introduction －

• Mount Taiwu Xiaozhubao (Small Pillar Fort): Composed of two fort structures, the upper one features a small cylinder, which is the origin of its name. Because it is made of two forts of different sizes, looking like a couple leaning against each other, some call it the 'Lovers' Fort,' adding a touch of romance to this solemn military relic.
  
  

• Baierjie (120 Steps): Located on the northern slope of Mount Taiwu, the Caicuo Ancient Trail starts from the trailhead behind Caicuo Village. It is a historic hiking path with steps paved from natural rock. Due to the numerous stone steps, locals call it 'Baierjie' (120 Steps).
  
  
• Haiyin Temple: Built during the Song Dynasty, Haiyin Temple has a history of over 800 years. Located in a depression at the summit of Mount Taiwu, it was historically known as Taiwuyan Temple. Viewed from a distance, the shape of Mount Taiwu resembles a reclined hermit, and folklore describes it as a place where an 'immortal lies on the ground,' a land endowed with spiritual energy. Haiyin Temple, built atop it, is renowned for its incense. Every year on the 9th day of the first lunar month, the 'Birthday of the Jade Emperor,' Kinmen residents bring their families to the temple to pray, making it a significant religious festival in Kinmen.
  
  
• Qionglin Settlement: Located in central Kinmen and originally called Pinglin, it has been a hub of culture and talent since ancient times, nurturing many upright and distinguished civil and military officials. During the reign of Emperor Xizong of the Ming Dynasty, the Jinshi scholar Cai Xianchen from Qionglin entered government service. When the Emperor asked about his hometown, he felt the name 'Pinglin' was too plain, so he bestowed the name 'Qionglin' upon it. There are five Wind Lion Gods in Qionglin, scattered throughout the settlement. Travelers who love Wind Lion Gods should not miss them.
