    The Yaeyama Himebotaru is famous as the smallest firefly in Japan. Its light is both gentle and powerful, captivating many people. Because Yaeyama Himebotaru are only active at dusk, you only have about an hour a day to see them. Come and take a peek into this magical, dreamlike world!

  • If you would like to be picked up from a hotel in the Uehara area, please fill in the name and address of your hotel in the "Notes" field when making your reservation. Hotels outside the Uehara area (Jungle Hotel Painu Maya, Eco Village, Latida Iriomote, etc.) are not within the pick-up area. If you are staying at one of these hotels, please take a bus or taxi to Uehara Port.
