More than a simple hunt, explore the Arctic and chase the incredible Aurora Borealis on an eco-friendly tour.

Begin your experience with a briefing on the night's conditions. Then leave the city lights behind as you head out on your adventure. Along the way, your guide will keep you entertained with lots of interesting information about the Arctic.

Once you have arrived at your viewing location, you'll be provided with thermal suits and reflective safety vests. Sit around a cozy Norwegian campfire complete with reindeer pelts. To keep you warm, enjoy hot chocolate, coffee and tea, as well as a light meal made with local ingredients. During the stay, your guide will capture the sky on a professional camera and help you with night photography tips.

Following your Northern Lights chase, you'll get a selection of the best pictures from the night. After the hunt you will return to Tromsø in a conformable minibus and that will drop-off at your hotel in the city cetre.

  • Please refer to your voucher for final information regarding meeting points, pick-up locations, and pick-up time

  • Meeting point description: Meet your tour at the Northern Norway Travel store.(Tromso Havn Prostneset, Samuel Arnesens Gate 5)

  • Not allowed:Guests must be at least 8 years old to join this activity

  • Know in advance:Tour operates with a maximum of 15 guests

  • During checkout you will be asked to provide your thermal suit size to ensure that all guest have available the appropriate thermal suits to keep them warm

  • Note the aurora is a natural and unpredictable phenomenon. Refunds are not offered if you do not get to see the auroras. To increase your chances of seeing the lights, it is recommended to book more than one tour. Moreover, please note that photos show the aurora stronger than what you can see with your eyes

  • Toilets may not be available along the way, nature may be your only option

  • Tour will only be canceled if the weather conditions are dangerous. In the event that this happens, you will be offered an alternative or a full refund

  • Tour guide reserves the right to modify / adapt the tour slightly if necessary

  • Eco-friendly tour: with reusable mugs, wooden stirring sticks, plastic-free food packaging, and a fire pit. Your guide will ensure that the only footprints left behind are in the snow

  • You will receive an email after 48-hour from the experience with the link to download all the photos in a low-resolution quality. High-resolution will be available for an extra fee

  • Remember to bring:Warm wool underwear, warm boots, gloves and a hat
