✅ Tour Site Information
► Hue
Located in central Vietnam, it is the capital of Thừa Thiên-Huế Province. It served as the capital of Vietnam (Nguyen Dynasty) from 1802 to 1945, possesses many historical monuments and architectural structures, and the Hue Monuments in this city are registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
► [Hue] Hai Van Pass
※ A cup of Vietnamese coffee is provided at Hai Van Pass.
A mountain pass crossing the Annamite Range, it is a 21km long stretch famous as a driving course for its views of the South China Sea. Although administratively part of Hue, it is close to Da Nang, making it a great place to stop and enjoy the scenery on the way to Hue.
► [Hue] Hue Royal Palace (Kinh thành Huế)
※ A professional historical guide within the Hue Royal Palace is included. (A local who speaks Korean.)
※ Electric cart for the Royal Palace is included. (Maximum 6 people per cart)
The Hue Imperial Citadel, considered the most outstanding tourist attraction and sight in Hue, houses the palaces and tombs where the emperors resided. The emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty lived within this massive, walled space. The area inside the citadel was a forbidden city, accessible only to the emperor, his concubines, and his close aides; unauthorized entry could result in the death penalty. While reconstruction is underway to maintain it as a historical site, very little of the forbidden area remains today, and much of it has been destroyed. The South Gate, where tourists enter, is said to have been modeled after the Forbidden City in China. Beyond the South Gate, the royal palace grounds contain royal residences, temples, and a Forbidden City for the emperor, a name also inspired by the Chinese Forbidden City.
► Vietnamese Home-style Restaurant CHẠN
A Vietnamese home-style meal is provided for lunch. Drinks are not included; if you wish to order any, please do so upon arrival at the restaurant and pay separately. We serve a hearty home-style meal that, while not as famous as pho or banh mi, is something Vietnamese people enjoy eating regularly.
※ Served as 1 set for 2 people: Rice / Morning Glory / Braised Pork / Grilled Meat / Garlic Shrimp
► [Hue] Thien Mu Pagoda
Located on a hill overlooking the Perfume River, Thien Mu Pagoda was built in 1601 and is famous for its seven-story stone pagoda. At the entrance stands an octagonal seven-story pagoda built in the 19th century; at over 21 meters tall, it is considered one of the most iconic architectural structures not only in Hue but in all of Vietnam. Each level of the pagoda enshrines a Buddha statue. On either side of the pagoda are two pavilions: one houses a stele set upon the back of a large stone turtle, and the other contains a massive bell weighing over 2 tons.
► [Hue] Khai Dinh Tomb
Emperor Khai Dinh ruled during the late Nguyen Dynasty from 1916 to 1925. This tomb is a Western-style concrete structure that began construction in 1920 and was completed in 1931. It stands in stark contrast to other imperial tombs modeled after Chinese styles, and is characterized by the significant influence of European architectural styles due to French colonial rule.
►[Hue] Minh Mang Tomb
Built over about three years starting in 1804, the Minh Mang Tomb is one of the structures built under Chinese influence. Emperor Minh Mang was a figure who put great effort into organizing the nation, and the period of his reign is considered the golden age of the Nguyen Dynasty. The site is impressive for the stone statues of civil officials, military officials, horses, and elephants lined up on either side of the Dai Hong Mon (the main gate of the tomb), as well as the splendor of the Sung An Temple.
