Atakemaru: The '御座船安宅丸 (Atakemaru)' (capacity 500 passengers) is a scarlet Japanese-style ship that stands out in Kobe Port. It is modeled after the massive ship 'Atakemaru' built by order of the third Tokugawa Shogun, Iemitsu. It was renovated in 2017 under the supervision of Okayama-born industrial designer Eiji Mitooka. The interior, which features non-reserved seating throughout, is a gorgeous and elegant space that combines styles from all times and places like a mandala, decorated with colorful sliding door paintings, Japanese umbrellas, and ceiling paintings.
Royal Princess: One of the largest two-story excursion ships in the Kansai region (capacity 500 passengers). The third floor is an open-air sky deck, offering a 360-degree view of the Kobe cityscape with Mount Rokko in the background. On all Royal Princess cruises, you can experience the impressive passage under the 'Kobe Ohashi Bridge.' The Kobe Ohashi Bridge is a red double-deck steel bridge connecting the Port Terminal to Port Island, the world's first man-made island. It is illuminated at night, and recently, the third-floor sky deck has become a hot topic on social media as a spot where many guests can capture spectacular and magical videos along with the Kobe scenery.
This is a night cruise where you can watch the "Minato Fireworks" held at Meriken Park from the boat for about 20 minutes.
