Escape the summer heat of Athens and embark on the ultimate "Sea & Land" day trip to the historic region of Corinth. Strategically designed for maximum comfort, this shared tour perfectly combines a premium glass-bottom cruise, a refreshing swim, an onboard buffet, and a deep journey into ancient history and the footsteps of Apostle Paul.
☀️ Beat the Heat in Absolute Comfort
Your journey begins by boarding the Athens Suburban Railway. Enjoy a scenic train ride along the Saronic Gulf and Salamis Island. We will welcome you at Corinth station to board our air-conditioned minibus and continue your premium tour.
Arrive at the Port of Isthmia and step onboard the comfortable 17-meter "St. Andreas" Glass Bottom Boat, featuring a capacity for 49 guests. Feel the ultimate sea breeze as you experience a complete crossing through the famous Corinth Canal. Witness a 2,400-year-old dream become a reality as you marvel at this engineering masterpiece that connects the Corinthian and Saronic Gulfs from water level. Enjoy a traditional Greek welcome treat (loukoumi) and cold water while listening to an engaging historical audio briefing.
The cruise continues into the sapphire waters of the Saronic Gulf toward the ancient port of Kenchreai and the mythical Baths of Beautiful Helen. We will drop anchor near the scenic coastline for a refreshing swimming stop directly from the boat (swimming aids provided). Afterward, indulge in a rich, individual onboard buffet accompanied by complimentary local wine, soft drinks, and free bottled water under our spacious, shaded deck.
️ Ancient Corinth & St. Paul's Footsteps (Self-Guided)
Back on land, your cooled minibus will transfer you to Ancient Corinth, once one of the wealthiest and most powerful city-states of the Greek world. This historic site holds profound significance for Christianity, as Apostle Paul lived and worked here for 18 months (51-52 AD).
During your self-guided exploration, you can visit the Bema—the public rostrum where Paul stood before Gallio—and imagine the setting of his famous "Letters to the Corinthians." Marvel at the 6th-century BC Temple of Apollo and explore the Roman Agora. To beat the afternoon sun, step inside the fully climate-controlled, air-conditioned Archaeological Museum to admire ancient masterpieces in total comfort.
️ Acrocorinth Castle & Natural Mountain Breeze
Next, ascend by minibus to the top of the imposing Acrocorinth Fortress. At this high altitude, feel the amazing, cooling natural mountain-to-sea breeze while taking in breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views. Relax independently at the local cafe-tavern to enjoy a cold coffee, a refreshing ice cream, or a traditional snack in total natural coolness before your comfortable, air-conditioned ride back to Corinth Train Station to return in Athens.
