From Aix-en-Provence: Private Day Trip to the Villages of the Luberon｜France

Departing from Aix-en-Provence at 8:00 AM, this day trip takes you on a discovery of the most beautiful villages of the Luberon, among natural landscapes, heritage and Provencal traditions.

First, you will arrive in Gordes around 9:15 AM, listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France. Perched on its rocky peak, Gordes offers an exceptional panorama and authentic charm. You will have about an hour to stroll through its cobblestone alleys and admire its stone houses.

The morning continues with a visit to the Village des Bories, a unique site made up of old dry-stone huts, testaments to Provençal rural craftsmanship.

Then, head to the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Sénanque, nestled in a green setting. This iconic place, still inhabited by monks, captivates with its serenity and Cistercian architecture.

At the end of the morning, drive to Roussillon, famous for its cliffs and ochre-colored houses. After a walk through the village, you will enjoy lunch on site in a typically Provençal atmosphere. Lunch not included (at an additional cost).

The afternoon continues with a visit to the Écomusée de l'Ocre, which traces the history of the exploitation of this natural pigment, followed by a walk on the Sentier des Ocres, offering spectacular landscapes with flamboyant colors.

At the end of the day, you will reach Lourmarin, a charming Provençal village renowned for its art de vivre and lively streets.

The drop-off in Aix-en-Provence will be via a scenic route, dotted with ideal vantage points to capture the landscapes of the Luberon.
