Rouen: Guided History Tour of the Historic Old Town｜France

Rouen through the centuries: a journey through the heart of Norman history

Step back in time and discover the fascinating history of Rouen and the Dukes of Normandy on a unique tour combining heritage, legends and historical chronology.

Learn how Normandy came into being with the Treaty of Saint-Clair-sur-Epte, when the Vikings and the Franks sealed the birth of a new duchy. Relive the city's golden ages through three key eras:

Roman Rouen, its origins and its first fortifications,

Medieval Rouen, capital of the Duchy and witness to Joan of Arc,

Modern Rouen, marked by urban transformations and major events.

More than just a guided tour, this tour lets you relive the history of Rouen from the 3rd century BC to the present day, following the evolution of the city, its buildings and its soul.

With me, every street and every monument becomes a living witness to a past that has shaped Normandy and France.

On some occasions, the tour may be conducted in both English and French, depending on the number of bookings I have.
