Option 1: Southern Island: Scenic and Spiritual Journey
Head south from Naha on a panoramic driving adventure. Take in breathtaking ocean vistas from the iconic Nirai Kanai Bridge and Cape Chinen Park, or connect with local spirituality at the sacred Sefa-utaki. Along the way, customize your stops to include the ruins of Tamagusuku Castle, beautiful Hyakuna Beach, the vibrant Ryukyu Glass Village, or a local favorite like the Itoman Farmer’s Market. If time permits, we can even swing by King Tacos for a taste of Okinawa's famous taco rice!
Option 2: Southern Island: Remembering the Battle of Okinawa
Dedicate your day to understanding Okinawa’s pivotal World War II history. This poignant route takes you to the sobering Former Naval Underground Headquarters, the deeply moving Himeyuri Peace Museum and Memorial, and the expansive Peace Memorial Park. It’s an essential journey for history buffs looking to honor the past and understand the resilient spirit of the island.
Option 3: Central Island: The American Presence & Culture
Dive into the fascinating cultural fusion of central Okinawa. Watch aircraft operations from the Kadena Airfield Observation Deck, explore the retro, neon-lit streets of Kin Town and Okinawa City, and wander the lush paths of the Southeast Botanical Gardens. Finish your day soaking up the energetic seaside atmosphere, shopping, and dining at Mihama American Village and Sunset Beach.
Option 4: Northern Island: Scenic Coastal Drive
Experience the wild, rugged beauty of Okinawa's northern coastlines. Marvel at the dramatic, wave-swept cliffs of Cape Zanpa and the famous elephant-shaped rock formation at Cape Manzamo. Step back in time to explore traditional heritage at Ryukyu Mura, and venture underground to see the stunning stalactites inside Cave Okinawa.
Option 5: Northern Island Destinations: Choose Your Adventure
Design a dream day in the far north centered around your favorite major attractions. Pair one headlining destination—such as the world-class Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium or the thrilling Junglia Theme Park—with a secondary stop of your choice. Options include the family-friendly Nago Pineapple Park, the peaceful coastal paths of the Bisezaki Tree Tunnel, or an off-road Yanbaru Buggy Adventure.
