Bamberg is over 1000 years old and suffered relatively little damage during World War 2. This is just one of the reasons it is an UNESCO World Heritage site. For a short time, Bamberg was even the center of the Holy Roman Empire! It is also THE Beer Capital of the World, with many small family owned
breweries within the town. Two of which are famous for their smoked beer!

Visit the Cathedral, Old Court (Where The Three Musketeers with Orlando Bloom was filmed), New Residence, Rose Garden, Old Town Hall, Mill District and a world famous brewery to learn about smoked beer!

  • Not Suitable For: Wheelchair users

  • Know Before You Go: While we will remain in a relative small radius of the old town of Bamberg, we will be doing everything on foot and walking up a small, steep hill, up and down stairs. The tour will take place regrdless of weather conditions. Wear the right footwear and clothes.

  • Know Before You Go: While the tour takes place at all sites outside, there will be some time to actually go into the Catherdral. This is a bonus part of the tour, when available. We will visit there at times when it is normally open. Since it is NOT a museum, but a place of worship, the Cathedral could be closed short notice anytime for various reasons that are out of our control.

  • Know Before You Go: Rude, aggressive or inappropriate behavior will result in being removed from the tour without refund. Theft or vandalism of private or public property during the tour will result in being removed from the tour without a refund and possibly have legal consequences.

  • Know Before You Go: The opportunity to drink a smoked beer is optional after the tour is over & not included in the price.
