Join a knife-making workshop in Warsaw and learn the art of crafting a kitchen or outdoor knife handle from scratch. Under the guidance of experienced tutors, design, trace, cut, grind, glue, shape, sand, oil, and sharpen your own knife.

Begin by discussing the basics of knife design, including materials, technologies, and blade geometries that distinguish top-performing knives from junk. Then, design a unique handle, prepare wooden stock and materials (spacers, bolsters, pins) for gluing, and shape it using belt grinders.

Finish the handle by hand with sandpaper and files, polish it, and apply an oil coating. Finally, put an acute edge on your new blade using simple and effective techniques, learning to sharpen by hand on diamond-coated bench stones.

Enjoy a great atmosphere in a professional knife-making shop with all the equipment and tools necessary. Leave the course with a self-made, fully functional knife, whether for the kitchen or outdoor use.

  • Know Before You Go: - A one-day course takes around 5 hours.

  • Know Before You Go: - Participants will leave the course with a self-made fully useful knife (around 12cm blade lenght).

  • Know Before You Go: - If you travel without registered luggage we can send your knife by post directly to a chosen address. Remember, that you won't be allowed to take your knife on board in a hand-on luggage.
