The walking tour starts on Szeroka Street, the historic center of Kazimierz, surrounded by synagogues and townhouses dating from the 16th to the 18th century. Along the way, you will see the Old Synagogue, the oldest preserved synagogue in Poland, now a museum dedicated to Jewish history. The route continues past the Remuh Synagogue and Cemetery, one of the most important Jewish religious sites in the country. You will also pass the Kupa Synagogue, once serving the poorest members of the community, and the Tempel Synagogue, today a vibrant cultural venue.
