Rovaniemi Private Visit to Santa's House & Meet His Reindeer｜Finland

Your magical Christmas adventure begins the moment your Arctic Safari Guides guide picks you up directly from your accommodation anywhere in Rovaniemi.

As you travel through the snowy landscapes of Finnish Lapland, following the beautiful Kemijoki River, your guide shares stories about Rovaniemi, Arctic nature and local traditions. The journey itself builds the excitement before arriving somewhere truly special.

Soon the road climbs to one of Rovaniemi's most scenic hilltops, where breathtaking views stretch across the snowy Arctic forests, the Kemijoki River valley with its beautiful islands and the city of Rovaniemi in the distance.

Waiting at the top of the hill is a place unlike any other — Santa Claus's own home.

Operated in partnership with Porovaara, this exclusive experience offers a peaceful alternative to busy tourist attractions. Here, families are welcomed into Santa's cosy wooden home for a private meeting filled with warmth, laughter and unforgettable moments.

Children quickly realise they are not simply meeting Santa—they have been invited to visit his home. There is plenty of time to talk with Santa, share Christmas wishes, ask questions and take beautiful family photographs without feeling rushed.

To make every visit even more personal, families are welcome to send us a few details about their children—or even the adults in the group—before the experience. Santa uses this information to create a unique and memorable meeting. Every guest also receives a small gift inspired by Lapland's traditional reindeer culture.

After your private visit, step outside to meet Santa's friendly reindeer. Feed them by hand, learn about their importance in Lapland and capture wonderful family photographs in the peaceful surroundings.

The experience continues around a warm campfire, where you'll enjoy a traditional Finnish BBQ with grilled sausages (vegetarian option available), hot berry juice and cookies. Surrounded by Arctic nature, it is the perfect moment to relax together and reflect on the magical memories you've just created.

Before returning to Rovaniemi, take one last look across the spectacular winter landscape. It is easy to understand why Santa chose this magical hilltop as his home.

As your Arctic Safari Guides guide drives you back through the snowy forests, many parents quietly reflect on the joy they witnessed during the visit. Families often tell us that seeing their children's faces light up as they stepped into Santa's home became one of the most treasured memories of their entire Lapland holiday.

If you'd like to simply relax and enjoy the experience without worrying about taking photos, you can add our professional photography package when booking. Your Arctic Safari Guides guide will capture the special moments throughout your visit, allowing you to focus on creating memories with your family. A download link to your professionally edited photos will be delivered by the next business day.
