Kemi-Tornio: Husky Sled Ride with Hot Drink｜Finland

We'll begin by gathering at the safari house to dress up in warm winter clothing. After dressing up we hop in the car for a transfer to the husky kennel. Before heading out to the trail the kennel staff will give you safety instructions and show you the ropes on how to handle a dog sled. The 5 km trail runs over the frozen lands and swamps and the pure nature of Sea Lapland. After the ride we'll warm up with warm drinks and get to learn about everyday life with the Alaskan huskies. You'll be given time to pet the dogs and take photos with them before returning back to the safari house.

This safari is a self-drive experience. Guests participate in pairs sharing one sled, meaning one person steers and the other rides as a passenger. At the halfway point of the tour, guests may switch roles if they wish. The driver must be at least 18 years of age. Children ride together with their parent or guardian in the same sled.

For the safety of our guests and the welfare of our animals, we reserve the right to restrict or deny self-driving if weather or trail conditions are considered too challenging, or if a guest is deemed unfit to steer the sled (for example, due to balance or physical limitations). In such cases, one of our experienced guides will operate the sled to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
