Discover two of the most representative landscapes and traditions of the Atacama Salt Flats in an experience that combines local culture, nature, and wildlife.

The activity begins in Toconao, where you'll walk alongside llamas through the Bosque Viejo, a peaceful environment surrounded by vegetation and marked by the Atacama identity. During the tour, you'll learn about the importance of llamas for Andean communities and their close relationship with desert life. You'll also take part in a short craft activity with the llama herder, getting an authentic insight into their knowledge and traditions.

You will then continue to Chaxa Lagoon, located in the Soncor sector of the Los Flamencos National Reserve. There you will take in the landscape of salt lagoons, volcanoes, and the vast white surfaces of the Atacama Salt Flats. You'll be able to observe flamingos and other birds that inhabit this unique ecosystem, while learning about its main characteristics and the importance of protecting this delicate natural environment.
