Hosted by Jouw Stoute Schoenen, this Wearable Art & Upcycling Workshop invites you to transform items from your own wardrobe into unique, expressive statements.
You bring your own clothing, shoes, or accessories that you would like to upcycle. After a short introduction, you explore a wide range of creative techniques including textile painting, embroidery, beads, patches, and mixed materials. You begin by testing ideas and materials before applying them to your own piece.
With guidance from professional instructors, you are encouraged to experiment freely and develop your own visual style. Whether you prefer bold and colorful or subtle and detailed, the focus is on creative expression, craftsmanship, and giving existing items new meaning.
All creative materials are provided by the studio, including threads, paints, beads, decorative elements, and tools. If you already have a specific idea in mind, you are welcome to let us know via the KKday messaging system after booking, so we can prepare materials especially for you.
The workshop takes place in a small group, creating a calm and inspiring atmosphere with plenty of personal attention. No prior experience is needed. At the end of the session, you leave with one-of-a-kind wearable artworks and fresh inspiration to continue upcycling beyond the workshop.
This experience takes place in a real Amsterdam atelier, guided by local artists and makers who work at the intersection of fashion, art, and sustainability. A creative moment rooted in the city’s independent, hands-on spirit.
