Throughout the trip, your guide will introduce you to the Arctic fauna of northern Sweden, including reindeer, mountain birds, and other species that thrive in this unique environment. You will also learn about the Sámi people, the Indigenous inhabitants of Sápmi, their deep connection to the land, traditional reindeer herding culture, and the history and traditions that continue to shape life in the region today.
Afterwards, head to the charming mountain village of Björkliden, where you’ll enjoy a hearty lunch at a welcoming local hotel while taking in sweeping views of snow-covered peaks and the magnificent surrounding landscape.
