Saint-Germain-des-Prés has been feeding people well for a very long time. The aristocracy came first, then the artists and philosophers, then the chefs who decided the 6th arrondissement was where they wanted to craft their signature dishes.

This small group walking tour traces four centuries of French gastronomy through the streets of the Left Bank. It starts at one of Paris's most legendary bakeries, whose wood-fired ovens have barely changed since 1932, and moves through a legendary apple tart, sturgeon caviar paired with sparkling wine, and a savoury bite from one of the neighbourhood's most celebrated spots.

A seat at a neo-bistro that helped reshape how Paris thinks about restaurant cooking. Cheese from the official supplier to French presidents, followed by ganaches from a chocolate atelier supplying over 200 restaurants across France. The tour closes in a distillery whose facade is a listed historical monument, with armagnac and a story worth hearing.
