Itinerary

Windermere Lake Cruise: Relax on a beautiful lake cruise, taking in the panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding fells.

Tarn Hows: You will make your way along the winding country roads to the tranquil Tarn Hows, an iconic spot known for its breathtaking views and connections to Beatrix Potter.

The medieval village of Hawkshead: Explore the charming village of Hawkshead, famous for its connections to Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth. Here you can enjoy a pub lunch or some Grasmere Gingerbread which can be found in the village.

Experience the timeless beauty and heritage of the Lake District, gaining insights from our expert guide and enjoying the unique opportunity to explore this iconic landscape up close.

Attractions included: The tour includes a cruise on Lake Windermere & visit to Hill Top House, the home of Beatrix Potter.

Please note: On days when Hill Top is closed, we'll visit The World of Beatrix Potter. This tour operates in combination with our Lake District Afternoon Tour.

  • Know Before You Go: If you are returning back to Oxenholme for a train, we recommend booking a train that departs after 6pm to ensure you are dropped off in good time

  • Know Before You Go: If arriving by car the best place to park is Broad Street Car Park, LA23 2AB. From here allow at least 15 minutes to walk to the Windermere Information Centre (0.2 miles)
