Oxford: Harry Potter Walking Tour with Hogwarts Film Sites｜United Kingdom

All aboard the Hogwarts Express! Meet your guide at the gates of Trinity College and embark on an enchanting Harry Potter experience.

After being sorted into your Hogwarts Houses — and handed your wands — you will begin your adventure around the Harry Potter sites in Oxford.

⭐️ Wander through the medieval corridors of New College (founded in 1379), following in the footsteps of Hogwarts students in the films. Emma Watson has even returned to study here today!

⭐️ Visit the Bodleian Library’s ancient Divinity School, where Harry was visited by Dumbledore in The Philosopher’s Stone.

⭐️ See the oldest dining hall in Oxford, where students have been eating their meals in gowns for almost 650 years.

⭐️ Peer up at the windows of the Restricted Section of Hogwarts Library, where the real-life books were also chained to the shelves.

⭐️ Stand under the tree where Draco Malfoy tried to curse Harry Potter — but ended up transfigured into a ferret!

⭐️ Learn how the subjects studied at Hogwarts compare to the centuries-old curriculum of the University of Oxford.

⭐️ Dance on the spot where Professor McGonagall taught a young Ron Weasley how to waltz in The Goblet of Fire.

⭐️ See Oxford’s own incarnation of Flourish and Blotts, home to a vast underground cavern filled with books.

⭐️ Peek into the mysterious Oxford college that’s even harder to get into than Hogwarts...

⭐️ Test your knowledge in our Harry Potter quiz along the way — and win points for your House!

During the tour, your guide will tell you of the eerie similarities between student life at Hogwarts and at Oxford. You will learn of the city's rich fantasy heritage, and hear fascinating stories about which parts of Oxford inspired the Harry Potter books and films.
