Nottingham: Felting Workshop｜United Kingdom

Step into the colourful world of the Nearlyblindartist for a creative and inspiring felting workshop like no other. Guided by a partially sighted artist, you'll explore the joy of making art through intuition, touch, and storytelling—no prior experience needed. You will handmake organic, 100% wool felted items and you can choose from a felted picture, a felted bowl/bag or why not make a magical sauna hat! Please note that there is flexibility in what you can make, please ask and we will accommodate your request as best we can.

This workshop is held in a cosy home/studio and tranquil garden in Nottingham. This intimate session invites you to slow down, experiment with textures and colour, and create something truly personal. Whatever you're crafting, you’ll leave with a beautiful, handmade piece and a fresh perspective on how art can be experienced by all senses. These felted goods will also include essential oils, leaving your creation smelling wonderful.

You'll also hear about the artist's journey living with visual impairment and how her work challenges the idea that art is only for the eyes. Tea and biscuits included for a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Meeting Point & Location:
The workshop takes place at a private home in the Giltbrook area of Nottingham. The full address will be provided after booking. Free street parking is available nearby, and local bus routes are within walking distance.

The experience lasts approximately 2.5 hours (This can vary depending on which item is felted)

Group Size:
This is an intimate workshop with a maximum of 6 participants to ensure a relaxed and personal atmosphere. (Minimum 2 persons)

Please note that access to the garden studio includes a few steps and uneven surfaces.

Inclusions:
All materials are provided, and you’ll take home your own handmade creation. Tea, biscuits, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere are also included with this workshop.
