Join actor and tour guide Nick Richmond for a journey of discovery , finding the places and people that influenced Charles Dickens most famous story " A Christmas Carol" .

We meet on Fleet Street, a place that Dickens knew well , where he worked as a young man in a solicitors firm. Once one of the most notorious area's of the city this is where Dickens based another famous character , Fagin.

We will visit the real life locations that provided the inspiration for Scrooge's counting house , his " melancholy tavern", the banks and churches that feature in the story and much more . We will also visit the beautiful Leadenhall Market , a place that Dickens loved and find a certain Demon Barber along the way.
