Explore the National Portrait Gallery in London with a choice of guided walking tours. There will be a maximum of 8 people on your tour. Discover the stories of Britain's history makers, from tyrannical monarchs to inventors, revolutionaries, and fighters for social justice.

This tour covers 500 years of British history starting with the Tudor king who beheaded two of his wives and ending with the fight for votes for women by the Suffragettes at the beginning of the twentieth century.

Option 2 is a special tour featuring just women - fighters, spies, queens and innovators - all inspirational characters who have changed history.

Learn about some of the great characters who have changed our lives, their achievements, and their personal lives. Hear about the adversity they faced, including child marriages, betrayal, imprisonment, and beheadings.

Admire each portrait and hear the entertaining stories behind them. This is an tour where the subjects of the portraits are front and centre.
