Morning
From meeting your expert and entertaining guide we have a full day of fun planned for you! Our meeting place is conveniently located by Victoria Station, adjacent to an exit from Victoria Underground Station; we would advise arrival at least 15 minutes before our departure time of 09:30am.
Our focus in the morning will be Royal London, based solely within The City of Westminster, home not just to royalty but also government. Our journey will encompass 1,000 years of history using Buckingham Palace as the starting point to our adventure. On days when Changing the Guard is scheduled to take place we will ensure the very best vantage points for you! Our exploration of Royal Palaces is far from over as we tell you the history of Lancaster House, Clarence House, St. James’s Palace and Marlborough House. No visit would be complete without enjoying the tranquillity of the Royal Parks as we make our way to Horse Guards Parade site of the greatest ceremonial events of the year.
We will continue to the coronation church of Westminster Abbey, and the Palace of Westminster and check that ‘Big Ben’ is telling the right time. Our political segment continues as we guide you past Downing Street before seeing yet more magnificent uniforms at Horse Guards. As we arrive at Trafalgar Square experience tells us that you will have worked up an appetite!
Lunch
We generously allow over an hour for lunch, and with so many places to choose from we are confident that you will return sated! As traditional pub fayre remains the number one choice, your guide will provide recommendations for Fish & Chips, Pie & Mash, and even frothing ale!
Afternoon
The afternoon segment of our tour will commence with a leisurely ride on a bus, as we don’t want to tire you out too much! Whilst on board your knowledgeable guide will continue to point out and tell you about the most famous sights, as we enter the City of London. The ‘Square Mile’ as it is known is dominated by St. Paul’s Cathedral, and it is here where we will continue our journey on foot ensuring the best views and photos for you!
We will cross the River Thames to Bankside, and the London of William Shakespeare. Make ready for the hustle and bustle of theatres, explorers, bishops, and market traders. Nothing would make us happier than you making plans to return to Borough Market, on another day or on another trip! Having shown you many hidden sites of Southwark, we will recross the River Thames via London Bridge, which is fortunately not falling down.
From our vantage point and as we follow the riverside we will offer you the best views of Tower Bridge! We will also enjoy sweeping views of once great warehouses and markets.
As our day started with a royal palace, so it will end with one! No visit to London would be complete without seeing the Tower of London! This famed site of imprisonment, torture and execution is also home to the mind-blowing Crown Jewels.
