Hamburg: Altes Land Private Nature and Agriculture Tour｜Germany

Begin your full-day excursion with a pickup from your accommodation in Hamburg. Travel in private transport with your guide, and enjoy a flexible itinerary tailored to your interests, whether that’s fruit picking, exploring local villages, or meeting native animals in a countryside park.

Walk among rows of apple, cherry, or plum trees, depending on the season. Learn how fruit is cultivated in the fertile marshland soil, shaped by centuries of careful water management. Harvest and take home fresh, seasonal produce.

Visit a nature park that’s home to native species such as red deer, wild boar, and birds of prey. There are also friendly farm animals in petting areas for younger visitors, and wooded trails perfect for short or longer walks.

Travel through historic villages dotted with half-timbered houses and blossom-lined roads. See traditional dykes and canals, a legacy of Dutch settlers who reclaimed the land from marshes centuries ago.

Hear stories about rural traditions, farming life, and the seasonal rhythms of the region. See architecture that blends function and beauty, including thatched roofs and colorful wooden gates.

With short walking distances, open spaces, and plenty to engage children, this tour offers activities suitable for all ages, from toddlers to teens. Choose to spend more time in the orchards, explore local markets, or enjoy an extended lunch in a traditional countryside inn.
