Depart from your hotel in Mahdia for a day of cultural discovery through two iconic cities on the Tunisian coast: Monastir and Sousse.
Your day trip begins in Monastir, an ancient walled city overlooking the sea. Visit the majestic Ribat, one of the best-preserved Islamic monuments in Tunisia, and then see the mausoleum of Habib Bourguiba, the founding head of state of modern Tunisia.
Then continue on to Sousse, known as the Pearl of the Sahel. Stroll through its UNESCO World Heritage–listed medina, explore its lively alleyways and traditional souks.
At midday, enjoy lunch by the sea at a local restaurant to savor Tunisian specialties.
In the afternoon, you will have some free time to stroll, shop, or simply soak up the Mediterranean charm before returning to Mahdia at the end of the day.
